Tunnelling conditions in a time sensitive motorway project were causing difficulty. Humidity and cold temperature within the tunnel were delaying the painting of the tunnel surfaces. An essential requirement was to raise temperature and dry out the tunnel environment.
Oil Fired Heater Rental
To keep the project on track, Aggreko supplied four 125Kw oil fired heaters, which deliver hot, dry air. Eight 5,000 cfm air movers ensured this dry air reached all parts of the tunnel. An Aggreko diesel generator provided the electrical power required.
The Benefits to the Customer
Dampness within the tunnel was rapidly reduced, and ambient temperature raised. The painting was able to proceed to schedule, bringing the project to a successful conclusion.
